Houses & Grounds at The Sapphire Sri Lanka
The Sapphire Sri Lanka sits on eight private acres making a hilltop that looks over several hundred more of wild jungle and mixed plantation. It offers the ultimate seclusion, privacy and space in which to ensure your full recovery.
The main house is a stunning example of old-world Sri Lankan aristocratic architecture - designed and built by the returning High Commissioner in Londoner in the 1930s. Surrounding an open courtyard it has a wealth of sun terraces, verandhas, high-ceilinged drawing rooms and private spaces. Two generously-sized bedrooms are on the ground floor with three large suites on first.
The Swimming Pool
A 60 foot swimming pool lies at the bottom of the lawn running just down from the main house. Private cabanas line one side of it looking across to the jungle that drops away on the far side.
The Lookout Shala
A beautiful space, purpose-built for meditation and yoga, the Lookout Shala sits at the lowest corner of the property with views down into the valley and towards Colombo.
Our Spa and Treatment rooms are on the ground floor of this building.
The Gym
Physical fitness is a key element in rehabilitation and recovery. Our gym has all the equipment you will need to embrace that aspect of your journey to wellness. Our Physical Trainer will, on request, design a training routine and set you the goals you need to reach your physical best.
Lounge
Seen above is one of two public lounge areas in the main house. These are used for teaching sessions while also fostering social interaction, support, and a sense of community among residents, aiding in their recovery through shared experiences and mutual encouragement.
The Spa
Our spa and treatment facility is a soothing sanctuary, a little away from the main house at The Lookout Shala. Our expert therapists provide a range of massage and beauty treatments to ease body and mind.
Dining Area
The dining area serves as a space for residents to engage in social interactions during meals, promoting a sense of community and support, while also providing a structured environment for healthy eating habits and nutritional education, essential for their recovery and overall well-being.
